Blind Followers of Blind Leaders

Matt. 15:14

Today we see multitudes of people who are blind followers of blind leaders who ignore the teachings of God's word. One such teaching comes from those who teach that all one has to do to be saved and go to heaven is just believe that Christ is the Son of God. They teach and practice this doctrine.

So I now ask this question: "Who do you believe? Man or God?"

The Bible, which is the word of God, tells us as we read in Matthew 7:21 these words from the Son of God: "Not everyone that saith unto me, 'Lord, Lord.' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

So, according to the word of God, there are other things that one must do besides believe. I must also tell you that even the devils believe. James 2:19 reads: "Thou believest that there is one God, thou doest well. The devils also believe and tremble." So, if believing is all that is necessary, then the devil will be saved. Can't you see that this is not right?

In James 2:24 we read: "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified and not be faith only."

I urge you to open your Bibles and do as some people did after the apostle Paul and Silas preached to them. In Acts 17:11, we have the record of this: "These were more noble that those in Thessalonica in that they received the word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." The reason that these people searched the scriptures to see if what they heard was true is because they did not want to be blind followers of blind leaders. I hope that you will do the same

I thank you for taking the time to read this article and hope that you will read further articles on the same subject, the subject being "Blind Followers of Blind Leaders."
