Blind Followers of Blind Leaders

Matt. 15:14

It is sad to know that people will be lost on the judgment day due to acts of unrepented sins such as murder, adultry, fornication, thievery, lying, hypocrisy, homosexuality, atheism, denial of Christ, and other acts of sin. It is even more sad to know that there will be people lost just because they were following blind leaders in this world.

Some may say that this is a hard saying and some may say that this is judging, but just because someone tells you what Christ has said; is that judging? I think not. I must now prove what I have just said because if I do not, I will be branded a blind leader like other blind leaders in the world.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:21, the Bible says, "Prove all things, hold fast that which is good."

Those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord will be lost on the judgment day if they have been following blind leaders who have led them astray, just as those people who were mentioned at the top of this article. Just how do I know this? Let us let the Bible answer this fact. 2 Thessalonians 1:7, 8. "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." If you noticed in this verse, our Savior said, "them that know not God and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." Have you obeyed the gospel? Have you done the following: heard the gospel (Romans 10:14); believed the gospel (Mark 16:16); repented of your sins (Acts 2:38); confessed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Matt. 10:32); been baptized for the remission of your sins (Mark 16:16); and have made a determination to live a faithful Christian life? If you have done this, then you are a Christian.

I urge you to be alert and do not let blind leaders lead you astray by telling you that these things just mentioned are not necessary for your salvation. If you do, you will be a blind follower of a blind leader and our Lord has told us what will be your destiny.
