Blind Followers of Blind Leaders

Matt. 15:14

The Son of God said: "Enter ye in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat, because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life and few there be that find it" (Matt. 7:13, 14).

May I ask which gate you are striving to enter? Are you trying to enter the strait and narrow gate that will lead you to heaven or are you going through this life without a goal in mind? If you do not strive to enter the strait and narrow gate to heaven, they you are traveling toward the broad gate that leads to destruction.

Just what does it take to enter in at the strait and narrow gate? What does one have to do in this life in order to enter the gate to heaven?

There are some things that we must do. We must hear the word of God (Rom. 10:14). We must believe it (Mark 1:15). We must repent of our sins (Acts 3:19). We must confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Luke 12:8). We must be baptized in water for the remission of our sins (Acts 2:38). Then, we must strive to live a faithful Christian life. Then, the strait and narrow gate awaits you.

Another question we may ask: What will lead us to the broad gate of destruction? Or, what will cause us to enter the broad gate? The answer to this question is simple and easy: WE DO NOTHING. By just doing nothing we will be headed for that broad gate that leads to destruction.

If we continue on in this life ignoring God; if we continue to ignore that Christ is the Son of God; if we continue to life of drink, eat, and be merry; then we can look for to entering the broad gate which will lead us to destruction when our life here on this earth is over.

I urge you to strive while you have life and a mind that is alert, to do what you can to set your sight on the strait and narrow gate that will lead you to heaven.

A word of warning: do not be deceived by blind leaders. Do not be a BLIND FOLLOWER OF BLIND LEADERS.
